PESCI Preparation workshop is a series of face to face classes done over a 3.5 days period. A PESCI is an objective assessment of your knowledge, skills, clinical experience and attributes to determine whether you are suitable to practise in a specific position.

International Medical Graduates (IMGs) applying for limited registration or provisional registration may be required to undergo a Pre-Employment Structured Clinical Interview (PESCI). The information obtained from the PESCI is considered by the Medical Board when it decides whether to grant registration.

A PESCI is an objective assessment of your knowledge, skills, clinical experience and attributes to determine whether you are suitable to practise in a specific position. The PESCI consists of a structured clinical interview using scenarios.

ARIMGSAS PESCI Preparation workshop is a series of face to face classes done over a 3½ day period. The PESCI consists of a structured clinical interview using scenarios as interactive role plays and monologues in accordance with PESCI guidelines.

Common General Practice and hospital topics from Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Aboriginal health will be covered.
There will be a Mock PESCI trial assessment during the workshop to assess your skills and provide feedback to assisting you in preparing for the main exam.

At the completion of this workshop students would have gained knowledge about PESCI assessment. Also, the participant will receive a certificate for attending the three day workshop.

-Perform systemic evaluation of any patient presenting to general practice and formulate a safe and appropriate management plan following clinical evaluation.
-Discuss confidentiality and its limitations in different situations.
-Effectively and empathetically counsel patients in various clinical situations.
-Devise a patient recall system in general practice.
-Identify indigenous patients and their specific healthcare needs.
